Autodidacte, RS Artist est un jeune artiste français né à Nice au début des années 90. Avocat de formation, il peint et dessine depuis son plus jeune âge et ne cesse dès lors d'explorer de multiples domaines artistiques.

RS Artist fait partie de cette nouvelle génération d’artiste alliant à la fois le Pop Art et le Street Art, nous livrant ainsi des œuvres tout en couleur, savant mélange de performances, de forces et de vie. Que veut nous dire l’artiste, si ce n’est qu’il faut profiter, vivre, essayer…

En un regard, ce que l’on remarque face aux œuvres de cet artiste, c’est la quantité d’éléments qui les composent. Aucun détail n’est laissé au hasard, aucun espace n’est laissé à l’abandon.

RS Artist s’attache généralement à sortir des images de leur contexte initial afin de construire une nouvelle composition permettant au spectateur d’entrer dans ce tableau et de forger sa propre histoire au regard de sa sensibilité et de son imaginaire. Chaque symbole compte, les images et les personnages sont sélectionnées avec minutie, provenant de journaux, d’affiches ou de photographies, pour permettre la création de sens la plus pertinente pour l’auteur mais également pour le spectateur. Il détourne ainsi l’image que l’on peut avoir de ces personnages.

Ainsi, il ne s’agit pas de transformer l’esthétique du quotidien en œuvre d’art mais plutôt de démontrer que l’art, la société de consommation et la culture pop sont au même niveau et peuvent coexister dans une seule et même image.

In one glance, what we notice in front of the works of this artist is the quantity of elements that compose them. No detail is left to chance, no space is left to be abandoned.

RS Artist generally strives to take images out of their initial context in order to build a new composition that allows the viewer to enter into this painting and forge his own story with regard to his sensitivity and imagination.

Each symbol counts, the images and characters are carefully selected, from newspapers, posters or photographs, to allow the creation of meaning most relevant for the author but also for the viewer. In this way, he deflects the image that one can have of these characters.

Thus, it is not a question of transforming the aesthetics of everyday life into a work of art but rather of demonstrating that art, consumer society and pop culture are at the same level and can coexist in a single image.
